Community Service

Containerbuyers is a strong believer in helping out the community. We have been providing containers and storage space to the non-profit organization Conscious Alliance since the charity's inception in 2002. We have helped arrange and manage the shipment of non-perishable food items to and from impoverished communities such as the Pine Ridge and Lame Deer Reservations, while also providing emergent hunger relief to disaster areas like Haiti and New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Michael Bank, our founder and our CEO, is on the board of directors of Conscious Alliance (www.consciousalliance.org).

In 2015, Michael Bank was given the first-ever "Hero of Year" award by Conscious Alliance. For years, Michael has assisted in the trucking, shipping, and storage of Conscious Alliance's donations. Michael has also acted as an active board member since 2012.

“Feeding hungry people is important in the short run, but in the long run, you’ve got to realize that powerful forces are creating those hungry people. Those people don’t just choose to starve. Our job is to look at those forces and deal with them.” Harry Chapin
